Peter Toepfer serves as Executive Director of the Center for Housing and Health, a subsidiary of AIDS Foundation Chicago. In this role Peter advances innovative models to address the needs of people who are experiencing homelessness through centering racial equity and justice. Peter has been working with people who are homeless for the past twenty years in both direct service and leadership roles. He currently leads several large collaborations of housing providers and health care organizations to dismantle systemic barriers facing people who are homeless and living with chronic health conditions. Peter previously served on the Board of Directors for the National HIV/AIDS Housing Coalition and Chicago Continuum of Care. He completed undergraduate work at Boston College and graduate studies at DePaul University.
